RUCHIKA SACHDEVA

Founder, Bodice

With a B.A. Hons in Fashion Design and Technology from The London College of Fashion, and after working at Vivienne Westwood, Ruchika Sachdeva returned to India and founded Bodice in May 2011. She quickly made a mark with a more trenchant style in a market usually associated with highly ornamented occasion wear. The winner of the 2018 Woolmark prize, Ruchika has combined Indian craftsmanship with minimalist and androgynous designs to become the voice of a generation of women who seek sustainable fabrics and pared-down shapes. Ruchika’s creations have been showcased in India’s fashion week calendars (New Delhi and Mumbai) and she is recognized as a ground breaking talent in India with a loyal following amongst artists, writers, gallerists, curators and actors as well as individuals from the corporate world in India.
