An alumni of NIFT with a Masters from the School of Oriental and African Studies, UK, Princess Vaishnavi founded Studio Kishangarh in 2010 in an effort to inject new patronage in the traditional art form of miniature paintings for which the state is famous. With her training in design and knowledge of art history, the scion of Kishangarh is maintaining the Royal tradition of supporting art, music, literature etc. Through retail outlets like Royal Fables, she endeavours to bring Kishangarh art and craft with a funky contemporary twist to a global audience. Housed in Phool Mahal Palace at the foot of the Kishangarh fort, the Studio provides an inspirational environment for the artists in residence.
