Nupur Asthana made her film debut after creating and directing the hit TV show Hip Hip Hurray followed by the popular mini-series Mahi Way which was nominated in several categories at the ITA and Indian Telly awards. It is currently streaming on Netflix. Nupur directed two miniseries Hubahu and Time Bomb before hitting the big screen with Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge winning her the nomination for Best Debut Director that year. Her second film Bewakoofiyaan was followed by a part web series Romil and Jugal produced by Ekta Kapoor for her new digital platform ALTBalaji. Nupur is currently developing a digital series based on the women scientists at ISRO who played vital roles in India’s first interplanetary mission to Mars, MANGALYAAN .
