Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs since 2017, Marianne Hagen is a rising star of the Conservative party. Together with Foreign Minister Ms. Ine Marie Eriksen Søreide, Norway is in the forefront globally of ensuring that gender remains an important pillar of its international aid, development and commitments. Prior to taking up her present post, Marianne was Head of Communications at the Royal Court in Norway following a successful tenure as Adviser to the Norwegian Shipowners’ Association. She has been an active member of the Conservative party from her days in the Akershus County Council and on the Executive Board having held various posts in the Conservative Party.
