Recognized among Asia’s Top Sustainability Superwomen by CSRWorks International and Global Reporting Initiative, Singapore, Lavina Sequera is currently Hon. Executive Director and Global Goodwill Ambassador for Human Rights and Peace for the International Human Rights Advisory Council. Lavina began her work on rural empowerment programs 15 years ago working on government, private and Not-for-Profit initiatives in India. She spearheaded India’s largest rural CSR program for Hindustan Unilever Ltd. spanning across 70,000 villages in 2010-12 and used that experience to subsequently establish a women-led, income-generating programme supporting 600+ rural artisans as a founding member of Soil of India. Her goal is to preserve endangered craftwork while creating a digital market of quality products, many of which are exported.
